Job Description
We are seeking a Project Business Channel Marketing Manager who will play a pivotal role in co-developing and executing the channel strategy across the Northern Europe region. This role demands a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial, and insight-driven individual who can translate the strategy and business goals into actionable marketing and business development plans. You will be instrumental in aligning local initiatives with broader group strategies, strengthening our footprint across multiple countries.
You will collaborate with local Project Business Channel Managers and the Project Business Director to shape and drive the go-to-market strategy. A key part of your mission will be to create a comprehensive channel strategy, develop a roadmap with clear priorities designed to generate demand and drive growth across the region and develop and execute the channel communication plan. You will lead marketing communication process, identify new business opportunities, oversee the product portfolio, and provide direction for awareness, specification and positioning strategies. Through your efforts, you will ensure Somfy’ssolutions gain maximum visibility and relevance in both established and emerging markets.
Key responsibilities include gathering market insights, setting portfolio priorities, and crafting strong value propositions. You will drive market entry, budget planning, and cross-border initiatives, while also representing Somfyexternally to strengthen our market presence.
You are a commercially minded marketing professional with international channel experience, ideally in B2B or project-based settings. You combine strong analytical skills and sound business judgment with a proven ability to deliver results. You are decisive, hands-on, and a creative thinker who understands digital marketing from a brand, category, solution and product/service perspective. You have experience working with marketing agencies and bring strong coordination and organizational skills to manage a dynamic portfolio of projects. Independent and self-driven, you communicate complex ideas clearly and foster effective collaboration across diverse teams and markets.
Responsibilities
- Co-develops the channel strategy and follow-up in close cooperation with the Project Business Channel Director;
- Creates a channel strategy and plan a roadmap with priorities to generate demand;
- Works closely with local Project Business Channel Managers to conceive and implement strategy across NEBA (country roadmaps);
- Co-develop, drive & implement the channel’s marketing plan and budget in close cooperation with the local Project Business Channel Managers;
- Develops and execute the channel communications plan;
- Execute cross-border marketing and business development initiatives, as well as overseeing local initiatives (UK & Ireland, BeNeLuxand Nordic countries);
- Identify new growth opportunities (products, services, segments or route to market);
- Oversees the product portfolio and prioritizes (local) needs for product developments/adjustments from a Project Business perspective;
- Conduct market research (market data, financial figures, technologies, trends, benchmarks, customers) to create market intelligence;
- Develops specification strategies;
- Understands and develops budgets, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections;
- Supports product and/or service launches of Project Business solutions within NEBA;
- Contributes to deliver fact-based materials to support the value proposition and sales speeches;
- Represents Somfy at various external partners: suppliers, customers, media, sector organisations etc.;
- Contributes to the development of the (digital) tools for the Project Business channel;
- Acts as liaison between NEBA and the Group to bring across local business and market demands for the Project Business.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field;
- Fluent in Dutch & English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills;
- Resident of the Netherlands (living in the country is a requirement);
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a marketing or channel management role involving multi-country channel strategy, preferably in B2B or project-based environments;
- Strong coordinating and organisationalskills to manage a dynamic portfolio of projects;
- Hands-on and creative mindset with a solid understanding of digital marketing approach designed for awareness and demand generation, campaigns execution and (digital) tools development and deployment;
- Experience working with marketing agencies and external partners, specially in the Netherlands;
- Decisive and results-oriented with a track record of delivering measurable business impact;
- Knowledge of marketing automation tools and data-driven campaign strategies;
- Understanding of the value chain and channel dynamics in the construction industry, particularly in project development contexts;
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly across diverse teams.
