Job Description
To support our development in the North American region, we are looking for an experienced Demand Planner (M/F) to join our supply chain team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will lead the demand planning process for the North American area and guarantee its performance.
- Using our forecasting tool features, identify historical trends and seasonal variations and cleanse the history from exceptional events. Adjust future forecasts using a range of available statistical models in order to obtain a relevant baseline
- Enrich the statistical demand plan with collaborative inputs provided by internal stakeholders (sales, marketing, finance, and supply planning teams), ensuring cross-functional support is received to improve the future demand
- Lead the local demand review process to ensure a consensus forecast output for the monthly deadline
- Actively participate in the global demand planning community to share best practices with other demand planners from the Group. Members of the community are expected
- Act as a key user for demand planning tools and processes within your region
- Identify and communicate key inputs for your region (such as major changes to the forecast, significant risks and opportunities, new products and end of life) to the Global demand planner
- Analyze demand planning KPIs (bias, forecast accuracy) and drive continuous improvement actions to improve performance
- Collaborate closely with the supply planning team of your area to highlight discrepancies from one cycle to another and identify risks of shortages (sales exceeding forecasts in the short term, sharp increase in volumes, etc.)
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years previous experience in a similar forecasting/demand planning/supply chain role is essential
- Strong analytical skills : Cares about details, is able to process a large amount of data to extract meaningful outputs
- Business oriented: Understands business, key customers and the positioning of each range of products. Is able to translate business issues and market stakes into forecast impacts.
- Communication skills: Shares alerts and information proactively on a regular basis. Adapts the level of communication to various interlocutors with the relevant granularity, focus, level of detail
- Cross-functional collaboration : Demonstrates cross-functional leadership. Is able to identify stakeholders' stakes and priorities to maximize collaboration and efficiency. Is able to influence others to gather data, obtain decisions and protect supply chain stakes
- Advanced Excel user essential for the role
- Experience of SAP IBP beneficial
- ASCM certification such as CPIM is a plus
Additional Information
- 9-hour standard business hours (including 1 hour lunch)
- Typical hours of 8 am-5 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Optional work from home on Monday and Friday after the initial training period
- $100-115k + commensurate with experience.
